Do I need a referral, and is it covered by MSP?

If your baby is under 6 weeks old, our services are covered by MSP with a referral from your family doctor, midwife, or nurse practitioner. For babies over 6 weeks, private pay options are available, and you can contact us directly to book.

What ages do you see?

We see newborns up to 6 weeks old through MSP-covered visits. We also support older babies and toddlers through private pay — whether you’re returning to work, navigating weaning, or introducing solids.

Who can receive care at the clinic?

We welcome all families — including birthing parents, adoptive parents, and non-birthing parents who are chestfeeding or supporting a feeding journey. Our goal is to provide inclusive, judgment-free care for everyone.

Do you offer support in other languages?

Yes. Our team offers services in English, Farsi, and Hindi, and we can often connect families to interpretation services or additional resources in other languages. Please let us know your language needs when booking.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Bring your baby (if possible), any feeding tools you’ve been using (nipple shields, bottles, pump parts), your feeding log if you keep one, and a list of any questions or concerns you have. If you’re pumping, feel free to bring your pump for troubleshooting.

Is your clinic accessible and easy to find?

Yes. You’ll find us right across from Surrey Memorial Hospital, with elevator access to make it easier for strollers, car seats, and anyone using mobility devices. We’ve designed our space to feel welcoming and comfortable for you and your baby.

Our Philosophy

We follow the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), Health Canada, and the Canadian Pediatric Society:
Exclusively breastfeed for the first 6 months.
Introduce healthy solid foods at 6 months.
Continue breastfeeding for up to 2 years or longer, as desired by mother and child.
